All races start and finish at Genesee Park, 4316 S Genesee St, Seattle, WA 98118. Packet pickup is the day before the race at West Seattle Runner, 2743 California Ave SW #101, Seattle, WA 98116. You must pick up your packet at the expo or arrange for someone else to pick it up on your behalf.

If you are active military or a veteran, please email us with your military email or a copy of your ID to info@seattlewaterfrontmarathon.com. If you are a student in high school or college, email us with your student email or ID. If you are a group or run club bringing several runners, email us with the details and we will issue you a group link with group rates.
Packet pickup is the day before the race at West Seattle Runner, Saturday May 23rd from 12:00pm to 7:00pm. If you cannot make it during the scheduled times, you may designate a friend or family member to pick up your packet. Packet pickup on the morning of race day should be considered a last resort. By selecting this option, you are not guaranteed a shirt in your size.
No. It is against USATF rules and the race rules to participate for another runner. You can transfer your entry to another runner on the website or at the expo.
Since the course is a loop around Genesee Park and Seward Park, spectators can watch from multiple points along the course. We recommend relocating along Lake Washington Blvd for great viewing spots.

All marathon and half marathon runners will receive an athletic-fit t-shirt and a finisher medal. The participants in the 5K and Kids 1 Mile also receive a t-shirt and a medal.
Yes. At checkout, you can buy race insurance to be sure you are covered if you cannot make the event. You can also transfer your entry to another runner. Alternatively, you can defer your entry to the following year for a $20 fee. Please check the registration page for deadlines.
It is unsafe to wear headphones while running, however, event organizers do not restrict headphone use and leave it up to the athlete. If you do choose to wear headphones please keep the volume level down so you are able to hear and follow the direction of course volunteers. If you cannot hear a volunteer you have no excuses if you get led off course.
Genesee Park has on-site parking available. You should be at the start by at least 30 minutes before your race start time. Leave early and plan ahead.
Yes. We have bag drop at Genesee Park from 6:00am to 12:00pm on race day. You must present your bib to retrieve your bag Do not include phones, keys, or valuables in your checked bag. The race is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
Water, bananas, and assorted snacks will be available in the finish chute. Additional food and refreshments will be available in the athlete zone after you complete the race.
There will be aid stations throughout the course with water and Gatorade. We recommend you carry your own fluid bottles and nutrition if needed. Half marathoners will have access to multiple aid stations and full marathoners will have additional stops on the second loop.
Top 3 male and female finishers as well as top 3 masters male and masters female will receive awards in both the half and full marathon. Medals will be given to all half and full marathon finishers along with 5K and Kids 1 Mile finishers. Age group awards will be given to the following divisions: 14 and under, 15–18, 19–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70+. Overall awards will be given at the race finish. Age group awards can be picked up at the information booth at the finish line.
Yes. Please check the registration page for transfer deadlines and fees. You can transfer to another race distance and pay the difference in price if applicable. Transfers may also be completed at the expo for a fee.
You can walk if you meet the course cutoff times. This typically involves a walk/run method. There are no baby joggers or pets allowed on the course.
Yes! If the event is not sold out, we take onsite registration at packet pickup. We do not take registration on race morning.
We kindly request that parents refrain from running with their kids during the race. With many children participating, allowing parents to run as well would introduce additional people onto the course alongside the kids. If your child is unable to complete a mile without a parent, we ask that you reconsider signing them up for the race.
